DESCRIPTION OF ITINERARY:
DAY 01: TOURIST BUS PUNO / CHIVAY: Early morning between 6:10 – 6:30am a guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel in Puno (Peru) to take you to Chivay village in Colca Canyon. During the journey we will pass over the Peruvian high plateau, making stop at Lagunillas Lagoon where we will see a magnificent geography of the Lagoon surrounded by the mountains of the Andes. On this area there are birds like flamingos and ostrich, also camelids as alpacas, llamas and vicuñas. Then following the journey we will pass over 4528m, making other stop at Restaurant Patahuasi to drink some hot drinks or go the bathroom, anyway the temperature begin to descend. Then we ascend up to 4910m place called Patapampa, from there you can see the great Colca canyon and Misti Volcano (Arequipa). Then we descend to Chivay 3600m, a small town located on the river of Colca valley, arriving about 12:30 pm. Transfer to hotel.

In Chivay village: For hotels located out of Chivay village as Hotel Colca Lodge, Eco Inn, Casitas Del Colca, Aranwa and others, there is extra charge of US$15 up to 4 persons.

IMPORTANT: Our tourist transportation vehicles have nation wide circulation permit and 2 types of insurance (Certificate of Statutory Accident Insurance Transit SOAT, besides has vehicle Insurance Policy to all risks in record) + oxygen & first aid kit + panoramic windows + reclining & confortable seats, exclusive for our demanding customers. The tourist buses have 16, 25 & 41 comfortable seats + toilet on board. Rumbo Explora provide to visitors all possible choices. Beware with illegal local Tour Operators or middleman, who do not pay the real costs to suppliers (transport, local restaurants & guest houses, tour guides & drivers).
